What is an artist impression? It is an image of a concept that hasn't been realised yet to show what it would look like. Often a concept is placed into a certain context; like for instance the design of a new type of football placed on a football field. The detail of an artist impression depends on the maturity of the concept. In the beginning of a project it is often a sketch and later on it can be a more realistic render of a 3D-CAD model.
